We are now offering a ghostwriting service to authors. It isn’t cheap, because writing a book on your behalf is hugely time-intensive. We only use experienced ghostwriters who have the ability to write both fact and fiction.
Maybe you’ve got an idea for a book. You’ve got a story to tell. You’re not a writer, but you desperately want to tell the world your story. We can help you by conducting a series of face-to-face (or Zoom/Skype – lots of things have changed since Covid, so if you prefer to do things in a socially distanced way we’ll make that happen) interviews with one of our authors. If we feel that we can do a good job in making your idea come to life, we’ll write it for you.
On average, we find that ghostwriting a story that you’ve already got a clear plan for (maybe your autobiography, or writing up a subject that you’ve already researched) for about 40,000-50,000 words takes a total of around 20 hours of interviews. Behind the scenes, there’s another 80 hours or so of writing up, travelling to and from interviews, sequencing chapters, redrafting once you’ve seen and commented on our initial draft, typesetting the book, proofreading and getting your cover designed.
Based on our standard hourly rate of £25 per hour for a total of 100 hours, we would charge £2,500 for this service – and throw in 200 printed copies for you, free of additional charge (paperback, colour cover, black-and-white interior). You’d own the copyright, and you could have more books printed at any time you want.
Warning: all ghostwriting work is individually priced – prices can go up or down
