Sliding Down A Rainbow (and other stories)
£4.99
In the 1980s, D A Bagnall wrote some children’s stories to read to her two young children, Mark and Gareth. An old dusty file of stories remained buried, waiting, for decades – until the coronavirus lockdown, when the manuscripts turned up hidden away in a treasure trove of old cupboards.
With her 65th birthday fast approaching, Mark and Gareth decided that getting the stories published would be a great way to celebrate.
Sliding Down A Rainbow (and other stories) is designed for parents to read to their children. It has a traditional children’s book feel. The title story, a youthful fantasy, features two children literally in the clouds, sliding down a rainbow to find their way home. Mark’s Talking Pyjamas is about a young boy’s love of his favourite pyjamas. Teddy Goes A-Wandering tells us all about the adventures of a teddy bear called Bod, whilst Christmas Surprise is a heartwarming tale of a very special addition to a family at Christmas. The book concludes with some bonus stories, written by Mark and Gareth when they were children.
